Embedded C/C++ diagnostics and code review

Find the failure.
Understand the cause.
Move forward.

I help small hardware and product teams investigate difficult embedded software issues, review risky C/C++ code, and leave with a prioritized next-step plan.

  • Early prototypes
  • Inherited code
  • Unclear root causes

Primary services

A small, clear first step before a large commitment.

The initial engagement is deliberately bounded. You get a useful technical artifact even if we do not continue into implementation.

01

Failure diagnosis

Turn symptoms, logs, traces, and the relevant code path into a tested set of hypotheses and a practical reproduction plan.

  • Symptom and context review
  • Likely root-cause map
  • Prioritized next checks
02

Embedded code review

Examine a bounded C/C++ area for correctness risks, unclear ownership, brittle interfaces, and missing defensive behavior.

  • Focused, not repository-wide
  • Severity-ranked findings
  • Written remediation plan
03

Prototype rescue

Stabilize the next engineering decision when a prototype works only sometimes, integration has stalled, or inherited code is blocking progress.

  • Constraint and dependency map
  • Minimum safe next milestone
  • Optional implementation quote

How it works

Context in. Decisions out.

No open-ended retainer is required to start. Scope and access are agreed before any source code is shared.

  1. 01

    Frame the problem

Share the product context, observed behavior, constraints, and what has already been tried.

  2. 02

    Investigate the issue

I inspect the agreed evidence and code area, document hypotheses, and rank the risks.

  3. 03

    Hand off clearly

You receive written findings, recommended next steps, and an optional implementation path.

Selected proof

Built work, visible reasoning, honest boundaries.

Some technical work cannot be published in full. These examples show my technical focus and one hands-on contribution to a wider project team.

I helped source, install, and program the decorative lighting for the Penc pedestrian bridge.

Lighting contribution within a wider project team.

Secondary service

Technical UI/UX quick audit

For websites, dashboards, and small applications that need clearer navigation, stronger hierarchy, and fewer usability dead ends - without committing to a redesign or implementation project.

  • Up to five screens
  • One key user flow
  • 10-20 prioritized findings
  • Annotated PDF and walkthrough

About

I work close to hardware and communicate the reasoning, not only the result.

I am a Budapest-based software developer focused on embedded systems and technical problem solving. My work has included embedded C++, Flutter desktop applications, and small deployed web tools.

I hold a BSc degree and am continuing my studies at master's level. Competitive programming and independent projects have strengthened how I break down ambiguous problems and explain trade-offs.

A useful first message includes the product context, the observed behavior, and what your team has already tried. Sensitive source code can wait until scope and handling are agreed.
